Auditions for Honky Tonk Angels
October 22 and 23 - 6:30 PM at the Ice House Theatre

Honky Tonk Angels - the classic country juke box musical is a charming, foot-stompin' musical that has played to sold-out audiences across the country. It features those classic country tunes we all know and love -
I'll Fly Away, Ode to Billy Joe,  Stand byYour Man, Coal Miner's Daughter, 9 to 5, and many more. The show runs 4 weekends, opening on March 22 and closing on April 14.

There will be a few rehearsals in early November and December, but the bulk of rehearsals will take place after New Year's. it is important that those cast be able to attend the vast majority of rehearsals. it is a cast of only 3 women and many of the songs are sung by all 3 of those women, so it would be difficult to rehearse without all in attendance. There may be a little more flexibility with backup singers.

If you wish to audition, please be prepared to sing a country song of your choosing. An accompanist will be available. Auditioners will also be asked to work with our music directors and accompanist to evaluate harmonizing capabilities.

The show calls for 3 women and backup singers - one role has been pre-cast. For the other 2 main roles, one needs to be a very young woman - late teens, early twenties, or be able to look that young. The other role is far more open. The script calls for someone who is a Los Angeles career woman - "a citified country girl." The script says in her 30's but there is some flexibility to this.

We are also looking for a steel guitar player.
